Coral Gables, Fla. (October 11, 2017)  The University of Miami’s prestigious Frost School of Music is offering UM alumni 50% tuition scholarships for the Master of Arts Degree in Arts Presenting & Entertainment Management or the Master of Music Business Degree in Music Business and Entertainment Industries.

Eligible applicants must have completed a degree at the University of Miami prior to starting one of these degree programs. To be considered for the scholarship for the Fall 2018 on-campus program, the application deadline is April 1, 2018. The non-scholarship application deadline is June 1, 2018. The online program has a rolling admission schedule with six different opportunities to begin the program throughout the year. There is no application deadline for the online program scholarship. The on-campus version of both degree programs are also offered jointly with the Juris Doctor in the University of Miami School of Law.

Serona Elton is Chair of Frost Music Media and Industry Department and Director of the Frost Music Business and Entertainment Industries Program. She says, “The on-campus programs provide students with what they need to prepare for and launch their careers. They have the opportunity to get hands-on experience with our student-run record company, music production company and live event company while taking classes taught by highly-regarded ‘pracademics’ currently engaged in industry practice.”

The online degree programs are “great options for the working professional interested in pursuing a graduate degree while continuing a full-time job,” adds Frost Online Director, Rachel Hanusa. “Online students can live anywhere and complete coursework any time of the day. Programs are exact replicas of the on-campus degrees with the same curricula and courses, the same world-renowned faculty, with access to the same resources and personalized attention from application to graduation.”
