The University’s Office of Emergency Management is offering active shooter response training online. The course incorporates the latest Department of Homeland Security guidance on best practice responses for those who encounter active shooter situations. Sign up now. Adopt sustainable practices at work.
Friday, March 24, at noon.
The Sustainability 101 webinar introduces water reduction, recycling, composting and more. Participants will learn the fundamental research behind climate change and environmental conservation and learn hands-on sustainable practices they can integrate in the workplace. Reserve your spot. Develop your de-escalation skills.
Tuesday, March 28, at noon and 4 p.m.
The Faculty and Staff Assistance Program invites ’Canes to develop their communication skills with de-escalation training. Webinar participants will review essential communication techniques for managing conflict and fostering cooperation, as well as how to manage their own triggers in difficult situations.
