Researcher “Speed Dating” at the SONHS

The term “speed dating” took on a whole new meaning on Friday at the School of Nursing and Health Studies, when aspiring nurse researchers joined faculty scientists for a lunchtime event billed as a unique educational opportunity.
It was a chance for students to mingle with established researchers, determine which faculty members share their areas of scientific interest or expertise, and identify those faculty members who might be good fits as their mentors or advisors in the Ph.D. program. The school’s doctoral program joined forces with its NIMHD-funded Center of Excellence for Health Disparities Research: El Centro to host the networking experience.
