University Of Miami Graduates Class Of 2008

More than 3,300 students will graduate at the University of Miami during six ceremonies being held May 8 – 10 and on May 18 at the BankUnited Center.
 More than 3,300 students will graduate at the University of Miami during six ceremonies being held May 8 – 10 and on May 18 at the BankUnited Center, 1245 Dauer Drive, on UM’s Coral Gables campus. Nearly 20,000 guests will attend the various ceremonies.

Details about each ceremony are listed below. At five of the ceremonies, a highly distinguished individual will address graduates and receive an honorary degree from the University. Thursday, May 8 – Graduate Degree Ceremony – 4:30 p.m.

5 p.m. Speaker: Thomas D. Pollard, receiving the Honorary Doctor of Science, pioneering researcher, Sterling Professor and Chair of Molecular Cellular and Developmental Biology at Yale University.

2 p.m. Speaker: Carolyn B. Lamm, University of Miami School of Law alumna, partner of White & Case, LLP.
