Corporate Run

Nearly 2,200 University of Miami faculty and staff spent an evening to remember at the 2018 Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run on Thursday, April 26, at Bayfront Park in downtown Miami.

Led by Jeffrey Duerk, executive vice president for academic affairs and provost, Jacqueline Travisano, executive vice president for business and finance and chief operating officer, and Edward Abraham, executive vice president for health affairs and CEO of UHealth, Team UM was the second largest group to make its way around the 3.1 mile course.

But leading at the end, for the second year in a row, was John Hinkle, a second-year resident at the Miller School of Medicine’s Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, who crossed the finish line in 15 minutes, 46 seconds, first among all 28,104 participants.

After the run, TeamUM participants were treated to a complimentary meal, water, snacks, and had the chance to win great raffle prizes, including domestic airline tickets, Amazon firesticks, Uber gift cards, and more.
