Budding young violinists in the Donna E. Shalala MusicReach program were among 150 instrumental and choral musicians who captivated more than 400 guests at the annual Winter Wonderful Frost Holiday Dinner, which benefits the award-winning community outreach program. Free music instruction and life mentoring by Frost School students helps keep 800 young Miami-Dade County students in school, and on a path to college and future success. During the gala, UM President Julio Frenk and Frost School Dean Shelly Berg presented the 2018 Frost Legacy Award to longtime Winter Wonderful patrons and supporters Patti and Allan Herbert.
