Campus community celebrates kickoff of football season

School spirit was high on Friday as Category 5 and the Homecoming Executive Committee celebrated the start of the Miami Hurricanes football season with the first “p(r)ep” rally of the fall—along with the anticipated reveal of the theme for Homecoming 2022.

One day before kickoff, two of the most energetic student organizations on campus—Category 5, the spirit programming board of Student Government, and the Homecoming Executive Committee—hosted the first Hurricane P(r)ep Rally (so named to help students “prepare” for game day) of the fall semester on the Lakeside Patio.

Performances from the Frost Band of the Hour and the spirit squads preceded the reveal of this year’s Homecoming theme—“Game On.”

Revisit some of the energy.
