University of Miami Athletics announced Thursday that it will host its fourth annual Celebration of Women's Athletics Presented by adidas on Sunday, February 11, 2018.

The event starts with an awards lunch at 1 p.m. at the Watsco Center, followed by Miami's women's basketball game against Atlantic Coast Conference rival Florida State at 4 p.m.

"We are excited to once again celebrate the legacy of women's athletics at Miami," Director of Athletics Blake James said. "The CWA has grown into one of our signature fundraising events over the past three years and I encourage our fans to once again come support our student-athletes and coaches."

This year's CWA will also mark the launch of UM's new Women's Athletics Campaign, designed to help develop leaders and prepare women to be successful in life beyond athletic competition, which includes new leadership giving levels and mentorship opportunities that will have further impact on UM female student-athletes.

"UM Athletics not only offers top quality athletic experiences and opportunities for female student-athletes but also provides lessons that prepare our young women for the next 40 years," said Jennifer Strawley, Deputy Athletics Director/Chief Operating Officer and Senior Woman Administrator. "Our Women's Athletics Campaign gives the Miami community an opportunity to support life-changing initiatives in and around our programs."

The CWA lunch honors current Miami female student-athletes from each of UM's nine women's programs for excellence on the playing field, as well as in the classroom and community. It also honors some of the pioneers who have helped pave the way for the continued success of women's athletics at Miami.

The Celebration was founded in 2015 by University of Miami Board of Trustees members Hilarie Bass, Barbara Havenick and Laurie Silvers. All proceeds from the event go toward providing UM female student-athletes with first-class opportunities to compete, study and prepare themselves for life after athletics.

Tickets to the Celebration of Women's Athletics are $50 per person, and include admission to the women's basketball game against Florida State. Sponsorships are also available and include table sponsorships, premier table sponsorships and title sponsorships.
