In this episode, The Profit host Lemonis consults with our students and other investors while challenging Ana, Skinny Latina founder and former “Real Housewives of Miami” star, during her business pitch.

Skinny Latina is a brand of flavorful sauces aimed at consumers keeping a healthy diet. Six years into the business, Quincoces finds herself at a standstill, hoping Lemonis can take her brand beyond being just a regional product.

“In the case of Skinny Latina, the product itself is spectacular,” Lemonis says on the show. “But the branding? Not so much.”

By closely examining every aspect of her products, the students shared their expert analysis and recommendations, particularly the need to reposition her branding strategy. As a primary takeaway from this episode, viewers see how successful entrepreneurs can be emotionally attached to their business but must find a balance between receiving feedback and committing to their vision.
