Miami Herbert non-degree executive education programs debut as No. 5 in Financial Times ranking

Financial Times ranks the top 70 business schools worldwide for custom professional education programs designed for individual companies. The rankings are established using client feedback on preparation, program design, teaching methods, and materials, faculty, new skills and learning, follow-up, aims achieved, value for money, and future use.
“This is a critical milestone for our School’s Executive Education Department as we are now operating in the same league as some of the world’s top business schools,” said Rony Shir, assistant dean of executive education. “It means our clients trust us and see the value and impact of partnering with us on professional development programs. Being ranked this high is the result of hard work and dedication achieved by our world-renowned faculty, staff, and external partners. Miami Herbert’s fully customized, adaptable, and innovative programs ensure executives are prepared to take on complex issues and drive organizational change.

The department has seen significant growth both in revenue and client prospects over the past two years despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Shir attributes this to opportunities presenting themselves from companies moving to South Florida as well as the faculty’s agile response to the demands of the market. Miami Herbert’s custom programs are also delivered in multiple languages including Spanish and Portuguese with more than 35 percent of the faculty being bilingual. Given Miami’s hemispheric connection to Latin America, this has proven extremely beneficial to the department.
Another important attribute comes from the versatility in program delivery methods including hybrid, in-person, and virtual options. Sessions are carefully structured to create a balance between interactive learning and time for individual reflections.
The success of the department has also enabled Miami Herbert to partner with prominent individuals within the executive education industry like Kelly Bean, Executive-In-Residence for the Executive Education Department.
