Alba Rosa Vietor Concert Series: Keys Through the Millennium

The Frost School of Music introduces the music of Alba Rosa Vietor in a concert titled Keys through the Millennium on Monday, April 5 at 8 pm.
A world-class violinist and pianist, Alba Rose Vietor toured the globe and studied under the finest instructors throughout the 20th century. Though she had always experimented with composing, it was in her later years that she really focused on her compositions. Vietor was born in Italy; lived in Uruguay, Argentina, and the United States; spoke Italian, Spanish, French, and English; and married a Dutchman. Her music reflects traditions from around the world as well as from her classical upbringing to produce a modern, international, unique sound.

The second concert of the Alba Rosa Vietor Concert Series, titled Keys through the Millennium, will be presented on Monday, April 5, at 8 p.m. in Clarke Hall. It will feature selections of Vietor’s piano works played by Frost School of Music Dean Shelly Berg and other distinguished faculty and students at the music school. Admission is free.
