Frost School of Music Invites Ages 6-18 to Young Musicians Camp

Young Musicians practicing for a performanceMusic students of all levels are invited to enroll in the Frost Young Musicians’ Camp this summer.  Session A, June 11-June 22, is designed for elementary and middle school students, who enjoy Jazz, Rock, Classical Music, or Musical Theater. Younger students with little or no experience can attend our brand new program “Introduction to Music,” to learn about Guitar, Piano, or Musical Theater.

Session B,July 2-July 13 and Session C, July 16-July 27 are geared for middle and high school students who want to study Jazz, Rock, Classical Music, or Musical Theater.  Campers will also get to explore other subjects such as Songwriting and Composition, Improvisation, and Avant Garde music.

Young Musicians stretching before a group activitySpecialized honors programs in the areas of Instrumental and Vocal Jazz, Classical Composition, and Chamber Music are offered to very advanced students by audition only. 

In addition, the Frost Institute of Contemporary Songwriting  (July 16-July 27) and the Frost Institute of Contemporary Vocal Performance (July 2-July 13) offers qualified students a full day of classes and activities that are directed by Frost School of Music faculty.  These programs also require an audition demo.
