Frost Music Fest ’21 marked a return to performances for Frost School of Music students. The outdoor music festival, which featured soprano superstar Reneé Fleming, lasted more than six hours on Saturday, March 20.

Fleming sang with the all-student Frost Symphony Orchestra led by world-renowned maestro Gerard Schwarz and special guest pianist, Shelly Berg, dean of the Frost School. Throughout the event, 180 students performed in more than 10 student ensembles featuring all genres of music from jazz, rock, and Latin, to R&B and classical. The Frost Band of the Hour also was featured, as well as Frost School Grammy and Latin Grammy Award-winning faculty members. Alumnus John Splithoff closed the festival with the American Music Ensemble.
