As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2016, the University of Miami Frost School of Music, in collaboration with The Launch Pad, present Anatomy of a Startup in the Music Business.

As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2016, the University of Miami Frost School of Music, in collaboration with The Launch Pad, present Anatomy of a Startup in the Music Business.

The event will feature an interview with Chris Muratore, Co-Founder & Chief Business Development Officer of Border City Media, creator of the state-of-the-industry data measurement and analytics service BuzzAngle Music. The session will trace the evolution of BuzzAngle Music from concept to becoming the industry leader in data analytics for the music industry, and will be moderated by the Frost School’s Serona Elton, Professor and Director of the Music Business and Entertainment Industries Program. The Program recently began using the BuzzAngle Music service in one of its courses, Recorded Music Operations. Professor Elton, who teaches the course, recently stated, “we are so excited to use this powerful tool in our classes. Our students will gain valuable experience in monitoring consumption activity and analyzing causation and potential opportunities, which will serve them well in their professional pursuits after graduation.” All undergraduate students in the Frost School of Music take a course which introduces them to the fundamentals of entrepreneurship and the music business.
