The Coral Gables Board of Architects provided their preliminary approval for the housing village on March 27, paving the way for the project to begin its initial demolition phase.

Site work began this week to prepare for the construction of the School of Architecture's Thomas P. Murphy Design Studio and the Department of Housing and Residential Life's Student Housing Village. This work includes the demolition of Building 37, as well as plans to begin tree relocation, root pruning and underground utility work later this summer.
