April is National Donate Life Month making it the perfect time to register as an organ, eye, and tissue donor and to celebrate those who have saved lives through the gift of donation.
It’s easy and rewarding. Just register online by visiting www.DonateLifeFlorida.org, and know that organ donors can save up to eight lives and tissue donors can enhance the lives of many more men, women, and children who depend on the generosity of others to receive the vital care they require.
Instituted by Donate Life America and its partnering organizations in 2003, National Donate Life Month features local, regional and national activities to help encourage Americans to register as organ, eye and tissue donors.
“We help the public understand the life-saving and healing benefits of transplantation, the importance of registering as a donor, and how organ, eye, and tissue donation strengthens families and communities,” said Cynthia Smith, communications manager for the Life Alliance Organ Recovery Agency.
