Eloise Davenport: A scholarship can open up worlds

Thanks to the generosity of scholarship donors, Genet Family Scholar Eloise Davenport's world was "completely opened."
Genet Family Scholar Eloise Davenport comes from a small town in New Hampshire where the population was 8,936 at the 2010 census. Her high school graduating class was 62 students, many of which would go on to be first-generation college students. Less than five would leave New England. Eloise was one of those five, and it was because of the generosity of scholarship donors to the University of Miami that Eloise world was "completely opened."
