Football is back - and Atlanta 'Canes are leading the cheers!

The University of Miami Hurricanes open the 2021 football season on September 4 against defending national champions Alabama. To get the season off to a spirited start, the Atlanta ’Canes Community is holding a Beat Bama Pep Rally for local and visiting ’Canes fans.

The University of Miami Hurricanes open the 2021 football season on Saturday, September 4, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta against the defending national champions, the Alabama Crimson Tide. Game time for the nationally televised Chick-fil-A Kick-Off is at 3:30 p.m. EDT. Whether you are joining fellow ’Canes for the festivities in Atlanta or cheering on from your living room, we have you covered.

To get the season off to a spirited start, the Atlanta ’Canes Community is holding a Beat Bama Pep Rally for local and visiting ’Canes fans. It’s live, in-person*, and it will be a blast! Highlights will include a special appearance by Sebastian, a DJ, and a raffle for awesome prizes. A signature cocktail, the Hurricane, is included in the ticket price for guests over 21 with valid identification.

All ticket proceeds will benefit the Atlanta ’Canes Scholarship Fund. So, get out your ’Canes gear, deck yourself in orange and green, come out to cheer for the U—and support a great cause! The pep rally will take place on Friday, September 3, from 7 to 10 p.m. at Live! At the Battery, 825 Battery Avenue Southeast in Atlanta. Get all the details and purchase tickets.

On game day, September 4, the University of Miami Alumni Association and Department of Intercollegiate Athletics are hosting a pregame celebration at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, from 12 to 3 p.m. A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit the Student Impact Fund.  Purchase tickets here.
