Polish your management skills with this new MOOC

Learn how to strengthen your management skills—or even add a new one to your skill set—and drive positive cultural transformation through the study of process improvement management.

If you manage a team, you know how challenging it can be to strike the right balance and how a leader’s management style can shape an organization’s culture. Learn how to strengthen your management skills—or even add a new one to your skill set—and drive positive cultural transformation through the study of process improvement management, an alternative theory of professional management.

That’s the subject of this new massive open online course (MOOC), developed by the University of Miami Alumni Association in partnership with the University’s Division of Continuing and International Education. Titled Process Improvement Management, this complimentary course introduces participants to the Deming-based theory of professional management and serves as a precursor to Lean Six Sigma yellow belt certification.

This new MOOC launched August 17 and is self-paced with online taped instructor sessions and includes notes, discussion, and industry resources. Estimated program length is three weeks. Once you complete the course you can purchase a digital badge to add to your resume and online career profiles.
