Florida Engineering Society and Palm Beach County Chapter Names Alumnus 2018 Young Engineer of the Year

The Florida Engineering Society (FES) and the Palm Beach County Chapter of the FES recently named Brett Fuller BSCE ’09, a project engineer at Wantman Group, Inc. (WGI), 2018 Young Engineer of the Year.

The award was established to recognize an engineer from the state of Florida who best exemplifies the ideal image of the young engineer. Awardees are commended for their leadership in engineering, as well as their well-rounded record of achievement in education, employment, professional, and public service activities. The award is given to one member of FES each year.

Brett, who is a licensed professional engineer in Florida and North Carolina, has nine years of experience working in planning and designing major and minor roadway facilities. He currently works for WGI, a full service consulting firm founded in 1972 that provides a comprehensive range of infrastructure services in the public and private markets. Brett also holds a master’s degree from the University of Florida in Civil Engineering.

The FES promotes and defends the professional interests of all engineers in the state of Florida. The society supports engineering education, advocates licensure, promotes the ethical and competent practice of engineering, and enhances the image and well-being of all engineers in the state of Florida; it also furthers the public’s knowledge and understanding of the importance of the profession.
