As a complement to the recent renovation of their new website, the Graduate School has launched a new digital content hub dedicated to news, events and relevant topics to help students optimize their graduate experience at UM.

This new website, news.miami.edu/grad, includes 4 sections:

  • Grad Students: stories on graduate peers
  • Grad Events: information on upcoming professional development and networking events for graduate students
  • Grad Schools and Colleges: program specific news and events
  • Grad Scoop: grant and fellowship opportunities, upcoming dates and deadlines, procedural and policy changes, staff changes, and news on important happenings around campus, among others

sections

The hub also includes the Grad Calendar, with all of the relevant events and deadlines for graduate students. Students can also expect a newsletter via their UM email gathering the “best of” and most read stories from the news website.

“We wanted to enrich the UM graduate experience. With so many activities going on around all three campuses, we had the content; all we needed was a convenient way for students to find it,” said Tiffany Plantan, Director of Education at the Graduate School. “So, we set out to create a space tailored for graduate students to house this information in one easy access location to ensure they don’t miss out on these exciting events and opportunities which will enhance their graduate career.”
