Fall 2019 Commencement: What you need to know

Two Commencement ceremonies will take place at the Watsco Center on the Coral Gables campus on Thursday, Dec. 12.

More than 1,100 students will cross the Watsco Center stage for their degrees during the University of Miami’s fall commencement exercises on Thursday, Dec. 12.

Commencement speakers: Dr. Rodrigo Guerrero-Velasco, a Colombian epidemiologist, academician, and policymaker will address more than 560 undergraduate students at the 10 a.m. ceremony at the Watsco Center, and Rabbi Arthur Schneier, a Holocaust survivor who founded the Appeal of Conscience Foundation, will share his advice with 570 doctoral and master’s students at the 2 p.m. graduate degree ceremony.
