MIAMI – Join the Rosenstiel School of Marine & Atmospheric Science as it partners with the Chopin Foundation of the United States in welcoming the acclaimed Duo Klavitarre – Jolanta Ziemska, Piano and Maciej Ziemski, Guitar. The concert will take place on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 4 p.m. in the Rosenstiel School Auditorium, located at 4600 Rickenbacker Causeway, Virginia Key, Fla. (next to the Miami Seaquarium.) Founded in 1977 by Mrs. Blanka A. Rosenstiel as a national non-profit organization headquartered in Miami, the Chopin Foundation’s mission is to assist young, talented,American artists in developing international careers, and to make classical music accessible to all. Southern Wine & Spirits of America’s “Chopin For All,” South Florida’s unique annual series of FREE classical music concerts, accomplishes both objectives by offering performance opportunities to young, world-class, rising-star musicians at Broward County Main Library in Fort Lauderdale and Granada Presbyterian Church in Coral Gables, FREE and open to the public, each November to May. In addition, the Chopin Foundation awards annual scholarships nationally to promising teenage pianists who show great affinity for the music of Chopin, grooming them to take part in the Foundation’s most important program, the National Chopin Piano Competition, open exclusively to American pianists, and held in Miami every five years; the next is in 2015.
