The award will be used to purchase illustrations and copyrights from archives in Vienna and Berlin for his book Loos and Schinkel: the Metropolis between the Individual and the Collective. The book will be published in 2020 by Routledge in London. As a follow up to the successful exhibition on Cuban architects at the Coral Gables Museum (2016-17), Professor Lejeune and Lecturer Victor Deupi have signed a contract with the prestigious publisher Birkhäuser in Berlin/Basel. The book, that will have many illustrations from the University of Miami Cuban Historical Collection (CHC), will be published in the Fall of 2019. Also involved in the project is Gabriela Dines, alumnus of the school with a Master of Science in Architecture.
