The University of Miami boasts an impressive network of over 180,000 living alumni. The alumni association, founded in 1930, is dedicated to providing Cane’s with lifelong education, programming, and career services as well as assisting in the continued development and enhancement of the University.
All graduates of the University, including online students, become members of the University of Miami alumni association after graduation. As alumni, you will have access to a number of exclusive benefits and opportunities.
Connect with Regional Alumni
The University of Miami Association supports Cane’ Communities across the world. These groups engage in networking, community service projects, educational and cultural events, game watch parties and more. They are a great way to connect with fellow Canes’ in your local community who have similar and shared interests and experiences. Advance Your Career
In addition to the career services offered to online students, once you become along UM’s career services are extended to alumni. UM alumni have access to career networking, including alumni career volunteers who are available to provide advice, information on jobs, industry information, interviewing tips, and more and career coaches who can help teach you to market your talents and guide you in your career. Additionally, the alumni association offers career webinars and a global networking night that connects alumni to the global Cane’ communities.
Access to Special Events and Programing
Each year the University of Miami alumni association connects alumni through exclusive events and programming opportunities. Past events have included regional speakers, the We Are One U tour featuring University President Julio Frenk, networking nights, and regional/on-campus events to celebrate UM athletics including homecoming.
