This year, the University of Miami Business School is celebrating the 70th anniversary of its flagship MBA program. The school and the program have come a long way since 1948. In addition to the full-time MBA program, UM now offers a suite of executive MBA programs tailored to experienced professionals.
In 2016, the school launched its online MBA program, which integrates the best of the on-campus program into an online format. Just as rigorous and well-respected as the on-campus MBA, UOnline’s MBA program is taught by the same prestigious UM faculty, who have adapted their courses for an online format.
MBA Lecturer Amy Agramonte who teaches both on-campus and online believes that the U has a unique ability to provide the same quality of education to those students who require a more flexible schedule. She comments, “I think the MBA program is great for a student who is a self-starter and high achiever. Especially if you are a working professional. As a working professional and mother, I can’t imagine going back on campus and taking a class. For students who require flexibility and a different schedule, online works best.”
UOnline MBA students aren’t relegated to a virtual relationship with their classmates, professors, and the University, however. All online MBA students are invited to Miami for a weekend orientation prior to the beginning of classes. Students also have the opportunity to spend a week in residence at the Coral Gables campus, meeting peers and faculty and exploring career networking opportunities.
UOnline offers several different options for MBA completion including a Professional MBA, an MBA with a Corporate Finance Focus, an MBA with a Financial Decision-Making Focus, and an MBA with an Accounting Practice Focus. The University of Miami’s online graduate degree programs provide you with the skills needed to advance your career, increase your earning potential, develop your business skills, and grow your network.
