What is your favorite memory from your time at UOnline and the Frost School of Music?
One of my favorite memories comes from the wonderful connections I've made with fellow students and professors. In this digital age, there are so many brilliant minds to collaborate with. Whether it's through a recorded session or a live group project, these interactions really create a warm sense of community and support that enhances the online experience.
What was the biggest challenge you faced during your UOnline journey, and how did you overcome it?
For many of us, time management can be quite a challenge during online studies. As a full-time military musician, I definitely found it tricky to juggle school, work, and personal life at times. I discovered that having a structured schedule helped me balance everything more efficiently, keeping my focus and productivity on track.
Who or what has been the most significant inspiration to you throughout your studies?
I owe a lot to my family, especially my mom and oldest brother. They’ve always encouraged me to keep pushing forward, reminding me that the sky's the limit. I’m also grateful for the amazing mentors and friends who share my passion for music and offer advice about the entertainment industry. Their stories, talent, and dedication inspire me to strive for excellence.

What are your plans after graduation, and what excites you most about this next chapter?
As a bassoonist for the U.S. Navy Band and live entertainment manager at the Friday Musicale Auditorium in Jacksonville, I’m currently exploring new opportunities in my field—whether that's networking, artist/event promotion, or even starting my own business. I’m excited to think about how I can apply what I’ve learned to my current job!
What advice would you give to incoming UOnline students to help them succeed and make the most of their experience?
A tip I’d share with others is to fully engage with your course materials, join discussions, and don’t hesitate to ask questions. Keeping that open line of communication with your professors is so important. Building friendships with classmates and instructors makes the learning process much easier and more enjoyable. It’s crucial to have a consistent study schedule—but don’t forget to give yourself some downtime, too. There will be days when you feel more worn out than others, and that's okay. Just take a moment to breathe, regroup, and celebrate all the hard work you’ve done.
Anything else you’d like to add?
My experience at UOnline and the Frost School of Music has truly equipped me with the tools and skills I need to navigate the exciting world of live entertainment, setting me up for a successful career ahead.
