Edgardo Defortuna is the founder, president and CEO of Miami-based Fortune International Realty Group, a real estate brokerage, marketing and development firm. During three decades, Defortuna has grown the company into a multibillion-dollar business, and helped transform South Florida into a global real estate market. He received his MBA in 1982 from the University of Miami Business School.

The MBA program was really an eye opener for me. I previously attended a University in Argentina and found the changes to the education system in the U.S., specifically the Miami Business School, significant. The level of professionalism and experience of the faculty and staff, advanced technology readily available in the classroom, extensive network of alumni, and all the other tools and resources available while going through the program were very impressive for me. The reason I decided to stay in Miami was that I knew my life was here. The experience I had in the MBA program helped develop my company as well as gain an understanding of the diversity that Miami as a city has to offer.
