Fulbright Study/Research Awards and English Teaching Assistantships

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers research, study, and teaching opportunities in over 140 countries to recent graduates and graduate students. Rising seniors should apply now. Most awards commence in the Fall or Winter of 2018. Fulbright is also open to graduate students, recent graduates, and young professionals. Grant benefits include, but are not limited to, round-trip transportation to the host country; funding to cover room, board, and incidental costs—based on the cost of living in the host country; and accident and sickness health benefits. In some countries, grants may also include tuition or language study. Students can explore country and program options at https://us.fulbrightonline.org/. Marshall Scholarship

Campus deadline: August 10, 2017

Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a graduate degree in the United Kingdom. Up to forty Scholars are selected each year to study at graduate level at a U.K. institution in any field of study. The scholarship value covers university fees, cost of living expenses, annual book grant, thesis grant, research and daily travel grants, fares to and from the United States and, where applicable, a contribution towards the support of a dependent spouse. George J. Mitchell Scholarship

The George J. Mitchell Scholarships support one year of post-graduate study in any discipline offered by an institution of higher learning in Ireland or Northern Ireland. Each scholarship covers eligible expenses for tuition, housing, a living expenses stipend, and an international travel stipend. Rising seniors should apply now. The Rhodes Scholarship

The Rhodes Scholarship, initiated in 1902, is the oldest international scholarship. It was created to bring outstanding students from around the world to the University of Oxford in England. Rhodes Scholarships are tenable at the University of Oxford and are normally held for two or three years. The value of Rhodes Scholarships cover all tuition fees, plus a maintenance stipend. Rhodes Trustees will assist successful applicants with travel expenses to and from Oxford. Rising seniors apply now for awards that commence in the fall of 2018.
