Writing Center services now available in all three campuses

Starting the week of February 12, 2018, the University of Miami Writing Center will offer one-on-one, free writing consultations for students at the Medical and Marine campus libraries, expanding the services already available at the Richter Library Learning Commons.

The Writing Center supports students at every stage of the writing process for all types of writing projects, such as academic (papers, theses, dissertations), professional (resumes, CVs, cover letters, grant applications, articles for publication), personal (creative writing), and digital projects (PowerPoints, posters, infographics).

A Writing Center expert will be on-site for consultations at the Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science (RSMAS) on Tuesdays from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the RSMAS Library.

Students at the Miller School of Medicine will find Writing Center consultants at the Calder Library on Wednesdays from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

On the Coral Gables campus, students can make appointments at various times to work with a Writing Center tutor at its first-floor location in Richter Library.

Students are encouraged to schedule a consultation beforehand and to bring the assignment prompt and/or project draft, as well as any other related materials for their appointments. Consultations last either 25 or 50 minutes.
