Professor Shapiro took his legal practice and turned it into a class for students at the University of Miami. The Law of Risk course allows Miami Herbert Business School students (and anyone else who chooses to take it) the opportunity to absorb and comprehend the content by applying it to practical scenarios, many of which come from Dr. Shapiro’s own professional experiences. Whether it’s a group project or informal class discussion, this course emphasizes doing, not memorizing, to harness each student’s ability to think critically.
