COVID-19 detection in wastewater program gets more NIH funding

Led by Lisa Gwynn, associate professor, the Miller School’s Rapid Acceleration of Diagnostics for Underserved Populations program received a $635,000 supplement from the National Institutes of Health—in addition to the program’s existing $3 million grant. This will help increase the effort to study COVID-19 virus particles in Miami-Dade County schools’ wastewater.
