Sylvester Researchers Identify High Death Rate from Gastric Cancer in South Florida
Researchers at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center were part of an international collaboration of specialists to study gastrointestinal deaths by U.S. county. “The multidisciplinary nature of this work allowed us to evaluate the factors that may explain differences in cancer mortality rates from the perspectives of screening, diagnosis, and treatment,” said David Goldberg, associate professor of medicine.
