Prostate cancer disparities caused by patient care

Researchers at the Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, led by Dr. Brandon Mahal, assistant professor of radiation oncology, found that it is unlikely that genomics is driving prostate cancer disparities between men of African versus European ancestry. Rather, the reasons for the disparities can be traced to the differences in care patients receive.
