Hosted by Miami Law, the Black Law Students Association, and Miami Law Women, the event raised $4,000 on Sunday, February 13. Held in Miami's Upper Eastside near Little Haiti, the event included a silent auction with items from Tiffany & Co., Giorgio Armani Beauty, Jaguar Ceviche Spoon and Latam Grill, Calamari in Coconut Grove and Equinox in Coral Gables.

The money raised will be donated to and managed by the Women's Fund of Miami-Dade County, an organization aimed at increasing financial stability, freeing women from abuse, and promoting the leadership of women.

Alumna Julie Braman Kane, J.D. '93, spoke to the audience of students, professors, administrators, friends and family about the importance of giving back. Kane is currently a partner with Colson Hicks Eidson in Coral Gables.
