"The Third DCA's visit brings the courtroom to the classroom, giving students a unique opportunity to experience advocacy in real time," said Rosario Lozada Schrier, Director of the Legal Communication and Research Skills program. "Students are now practicing effective oral argument strategies in their Legal Communication and Research Skills classes, so the timing of the Court's visit is ideal."
Students will have the chance to watch seasoned advocates argue before a panel of three judges, answer questions from the judges, and rebut opposing counsel's arguments. The first round of arguments begins at 9:30 a.m., and the second round will be held at 10:30 a.m. Following the second round, Miami Law will host an appreciation luncheon, giving law students the chance to interact with the judges and practitioners who argued before the Court.
