The Final Round was held on Sunday before Justices of the Delaware Supreme Court, as well as Judges of the Court of Equity (specializing in corporate disputes). Twenty-four teams participated in the competition. On the way to the championship, UM beat very formidable teams, including the team from Georgetown Law School.
"This victory maintains our placement among the elite moot court programs in the country," said Adjunct Professor and Assistant Public Defender Harvey Sepler.
The Corporate Competition is an interscholastic appellate moot court competition sponsored by the Moot Court Honor Society of the Widener University School of Law. The competition focuses on the area of corporate law. Each round of the competition is judged by attorneys and judges from the bench and bar of Delaware and nearby Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
