American Arbitration Association Elects Miami Law's Judith Freedberg

The American Arbitration Association (AAA), the world's leading provider of conflict management and dispute resolution services, announced the election of Judith Freedberg, Director of Professional Programs at Miami Law where she coordinates the newly-established international arbitration program, to its Board of Directors.

"It is an exceptional honor to have been elected to the Board of Directors of the American Arbitration Association," said Freedberg, "and I look forward to being involved in their many-faceted services ranging from their Mortgage Foreclosure Mediation program in Florida to the administration of international commercial arbitration."

Freedberg previously served as General Counsel for the Permanent Court of Arbitration at The Hague from 1997 to 2007. She also served as head of the Department of International Commercial Arbitration at T.M.C. Asser Institute for International Law at The Hague. She has taught at Utrecht University, VU Amsterdam (Vrije Universiteit), and Leiden University, among others and has served as Managing Editor of the ICCA publications, Yearbook Commercial Arbitration, International Handbook on Commercial Arbitration and ICCA Congress Series.
