Student speaker Rob Collins addressed the graduating class at this year's Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 14. Collins, who arrived at Miami Law from Washington University in St. Louis, was one of the most respected students on campus.
While at Miami Law Collins served as a STREET Law Fellow and as President of the Bar and Gavel Association. He was a member of the Black Law Student Association and wrote for the Res Ips, the law school newspaper and the Yearbook. Additionally, he served as a Law School Admissions Ambassador, an Orientation Leader, and a H.O.P.E. Day of Service Leader. This list only scrapes the service of his on-campus participation.
His involvement has made him a leader at Miami Law, as well as a friend to all who worked with him. In April, Collins was one of the recipients of the HOPE Commitment Community Service Award for his active dedication to the community.
Collins has chosen to continue his service after graduation when he will begin work as a community leader.
