Miami Law Alumna Appointed to the Judicial Nominating Commission

Yesterday, Miami Law proved yet again to be a force in the political arena when Governor Rick Scott announced the appointment of Christine Hernandez, JD '05, to the Eleventh Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Hernandez began serving on July 18, 2011, and her term will end on July 1, 2015.

The Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida is the largest in the state and fourth largest trial court in the nation, serving a population of more than two million.

The Miami Law graduate currently works at Barranco & Kircher PA in downtown Miami where she practices civil and family litigation.

This announcement was made shortly after Marlene Quintana, JD '96, was elected to serve as Chair of the 11th Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission (JNC) for a one-year term.
