"Scott is a wonderful new addition to the Investor Rights Clinic," said Patricia D. White, Dean and Professor of Law.

Eichhorn earned a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Florida and received his J.D. in 2005 from Northwestern University.

"I am delighted that Scott has joined us," said Teresa Verges, the Clinic's Director. "With over seven years of experience in securities litigation and arbitration, Scott is a great new resource for both students and clients of the Clinic. Since Scott will assist me in teaching and supervising our interns, we are now able to offer this clinical learning opportunity to additional students at the law school and, in turn, allow us to provide additional legal services to investors in our community."

The Investor Rights Clinic is the newest live-client clinic to join the Law School's practical program. The Clinic is a one-semester clinic staffed by second and third-year law students who represent under-served investors in securities arbitration claims against their brokers before the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). FINRA is a self-regulatory organization that administers the largest forum for arbitration of securities claims in the United States. Arbitration is the most widely used means of resolving disputes in the securities industry.

"This is a very exciting time for me to pursue new opportunities at the University of Miami," Eichhorn said. "I hope to contribute to the many achievements of this renowned institution and am delighted to join the ranks of its accomplished faculty."

Eichhorn can be reached at seichhorn@law.miami.edu. The Investor Rights Clinic is located at 3000 Biscayne Boulevard in the Chesterfield Smith Center for Equal Justice. The phone number for the clinic is 305-284-8234.
