Dean White discussed the ways in which Miami Law is anticipating the effects of globalization, new technology and the economy on legal education and the profession.
Before joining Miami Law as its eleventh dean in 2009, Patricia D. White was dean of the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. Dean White was cited by the legal writer Brian Leiter as one of the nine most transformative law deans in the first decade of this century.
Dean White's address, at the Casa Bacardi on campus, was approved for CLE credit by the Florida Bar. The speech was part of the Audrey R. Finkelstein UM Experience, an educational series for returning alumni and guests that featured some of the University's faculty discussing their fields of expertise.
