The award was presented to Job on Oct. 20 at the 64th Annual Morning Spirits and Homecoming Breakfast, with Bogosian present.
"I am truly honored and humbled at this unexpected recognition," Job said after the event. "I will strive to uphold the tenets that this award represents and exemplify the character Mr. Bogosian has shown throughout his illustrious career."
Job was raised in Suwanee, Ga., and earned a business degree from University of Georgia. She is pursuing a joint degree in law and music management.
Before graduating from Miami Law in 1992, Bogosian had himself served as the SBA President.
"I wasn't a straight-to-law-school kind of student," Bogosian said. "I had the experience of working in the US Congress which provided me ideas of things I would like to see done at Miami Law and that drove me to get involved. In turn, my involvement in student leadership here enhanced the skills and capabilities I've used in my career."
Bogosian's career spans a range of private and public sector experience, with positions in the manufacturing and service industries, the United States Congress and two executive branch agencies. He currently serves as a corporate Senior Vice President at the Safran Group, an aerospace, defense and security company. Bogosian joined Safran Group in 2007 as President and CEO of Safran USA in Washington D.C. before moving to corporate headquarters in Paris in 2010.
Before joining Safran, Bogosian was appointed a Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Commerce, responsible for manufacturing industries, and served from 2001 to 2005. He then moved to the Federal Aviation Administration, as Assistant Administrator in charge of international policy and administrative services. During his government service, Bogosian was a member of the Senior Executive Service, and received the Gold Medal Award for Distinguished Achievement in the Federal Service.
He worked in the US Congress on two occasions, as Legislative Assistant for U.S. Representative Jim Howard, Chairman of the Public Works and Transportation Committee, and as staff member on the Foreign Affairs Committee for Chairman Dante Fascell. Bogosian also worked for ten years in the field of government and public affairs, including advising city, university and foreign government clients, and helping to start up two businesses. In addition to his Juris Doctor degree he holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgetown University.
Bogosian is committed to passing along the benefits he gained at Miami Law. "I feel that when you leave the University of Miami School of Law you take something with you both tangible and intangible," he said. "It is incumbent upon you to give something back to the school."
In the summer prior to her 1L year, Job was a Fellow in the James Weldon Johnson/Robert H. Waters Summer Institute. She has volunteered for Gandhi Day of Service, Dan Marino Walk for Autism, Dean's Cup, and HOPE Day of Service. Job has served in the Student Bar Association as 1L Senator, Historian and Secretary. She has also served as the Inter-Club Council President. As the SBA President, she plans to cultivate a culture of leadership and service in the Miami Law community.
