Professor Felix Mormann Presents Paper and Chairs Panel at Annual Energy Policy Research Conference

Professor Felix Mormann presented “A Tale of Three Markets – Comparing the Renewable Energy Experiences of California, Texas, and Germany” at the annual Energy Policy Research Conference in Denver, Colorado. The paper, forthcoming in the Stanford Environmental Law Journal, elucidates some of the most prominent and controversial themes in the transatlantic renewables debate, including electricity costs, policy design, output intermittency, grid stability, and soft costs. At the conference, Professor Mormann also chaired a panel titled “The Clean Power Plan, Renewables, and Climate Targets.” Professor Mormann’s scholarship explores the financial, regulatory and policy challenges along the path to an environmentally and economically sustainable energy future. He teaches in the areas of contracts, environmental law, energy law, and climate change.
