Lecturer in Law and Director of the Professional Responsibility & Ethics Program, Jan Jacobowitz moderated the panel “Around the World in 80 Minutes: The Importance of Understanding Culture in Legal Practice & Legal Education and also presented her paper entitled Ending the Pursuit: Releasing Attorney Advertising Regulations at the Intersection of Technology and the First Amendment” at the recent International Legal Ethics Conference, which was held at Fordham Law School. Under her direction, PREP was a 2012 recipient of the ABA’s E. Smythe Gambrell Award. She is a frequent speaker on legal ethics and has authored several articles on legal ethics, cultural competence, and attorney advertising. She also teaches the courses "Social Media and the Law" and "Mindful Ethics: Professional Responsibility for Lawyers in the Digital Age."
