Professor Andres Sawicki has been selected as a Fellow by the Institute for Intellectual Property and Information Law at the University of Houston Law Center. As a Fellow, Professor Sawicki participated in the IPIL’s 2016 symposium “Authorship in American (And Beyond).” The symposium explored the nature of authorship on the 25th Anniversary of the Supreme Court’s landmark decision in Feist Publications v. Rural Telephone Services. Professor Sawicki’s scholarship explores the impact of intellectual property law on creativity. He has written about copyright law and collaborative authorship in his articles, “Copyright in Teams” and “The Problem of Creative Collaboration.”
