Professor Andrew B. Dawson Named as Spring 2017 American Bankruptcy Institute Resident Scholar

Professor Andrew B. Dawson

Professor Andrew B. Dawson will serve as the Robert M. Zinman American Bankruptcy Institute Resident Scholar for the spring 2017 semester. Professor Dawson teaches contracts, commercial law, secured transactions, bankruptcy and advanced topics in bankruptcy. His research has focused on the intersection of federal bankruptcy and labor laws, both in the corporate and municipal bankruptcy context. In addition to his scholarship in this field, Professor Dawson has served as the reporter for the Labor and Benefits Subcommittee of ABI's Commission to Study the Reform of Chapter 11. He will be based in ABI's Alexandria, Va., office, assisting ABI with its educational programming and in its role as the authoritative source of bankruptcy information for Congress, the media and the public.
