Thanks to the White & Case/Carolyn B. Lamm Scholarship, Russian student Madina Lokova has been able to pursue her International Arbitration LL.M.degree at Miami Law.
The White & Case/Carolyn B. Lamm Scholarship was established in 2014 by the law firm in honor of White & Case partner Carolyn B. Lamm, an alumna and visiting professor of Miami Law and a leading practitioner of international law and international arbitration.
"The fact that I received this scholarship is extremely important for me, as it means that my academic and professional achievements were recognized on an international level," says Lokova. "It is a great honor to be awarded this scholarship from Carolyn B. Lamm, an eminent professional and international arbitration specialist and an outstanding example of a woman who made a career in the field of international dispute resolution."
After receiving her Juris Doctorate from Moscow State University in 2010, Lokova worked as an attorney in Moscow and Zurich, most recently for Renova Group of Companies. She has served as an arbitrator in moot court competitions since 2012, including the 23rd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Vienna.
