University of Miami School of Law’s experts are available to discuss the ruling by the federal appellate court over President Trump’s executive order

David AbrahamImmigration law expert: David Abraham  teaches Immigration & Citizenship Law, Citizenship and Identity, Law and the Transition to Capitalism and Law and Social Theory. He has been a visiting professor at Tuebingen University in Germany, Deakin University in Australia, the École des Hautes Études in Paris, and the Transitional Justice Institute in Belfast. In the spring 2010 semester, Abraham was a Fellow at the American Academy in Berlin. While in Berlin, Abraham worked on a manuscript analyzing the transformation of citizenship in an era of neo-liberal globalization.

 

 

 

Caroline CorbinConstitutional law expert: Caroline Mala Corbin teaches U.S. Constitutional Law and, before coming to Miami Law she litigated civil rights cases as a pro bono fellow at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP and as an attorney at the ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project. She also clerked for the Hon. M. Blane Michael of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.

 

 

 

 

Rebecca SharplessImmigration law expert: Rebecca Sharpless is the director of the Immigration Clinic and teaches immigration law. Sharpless was a supervising attorney at Americans for Immigrant Justice (formerly Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center), where she engaged in extensive litigation on behalf of low-income immigrants as lead counsel in cases before the United States Courts of Appeals and United States District Courts as well as in immigration court and before the Board of Immigration Appeals.
