Miami Law Pays Tribute to Faculty Scholarship

Miami Law will host its second annual Faculty Scholarship reception on Thursday, October 26. Organized by Vice Dean Osamudia James, the event recognizes the scholarly achievements and publications of a number of law professors.

The works cover a range of topics, from Professor Anthony Alfieri’s article on “Rebellious Pedagogy and Practice” published in the Clinical Law Review to Professor Lili Levi’s article on “The Weaponized Lawsuit Against the Media: Litigation Funding as a New Threat to Journalism,” published in the American University Law Review to Professor Andrew Dawson’s article on “Beyond the Great Divide: Towards a Cooperative Model of Municipal Bankruptcy Federalism,” published in the Harvard Law & Policy Review.

In addition to scholarly articles, several professors recently published books, including Dangerous Spaces: Beyond the Racial Profile by Professor Donald JonesSo Ordered: The Writer’s Guide for Aspiring Judges, Judicial Clerks, and Interns by Professor of Legal Writing Jill Barton, and Legal Ethics and Social Media: A Practitioners Guide by Lecturer in Law Jan Jacobowitz

The event will be held at the Alma Jennings Foundation Student Lounge from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
